Commies for O b ama?
I have to jump in on the brouhaha about a precinct captain, Maria Isabel Norman, in the O bama campaign in Houston at 2520 Southmore Blvd. She supposedly just works for a volunteer group but she is a very active member in the volunteer corps, hosting O bama parties and using her "dining room table" to make calls to set up more O bama campaign offices.
So what's the problem? She was photographed in full O bama regalia doing campaign work in front of a giant Cuban flag (she was born in Cuba) with the image of castro's chief executioner, ernesto "che" guevara, superimposed on it. A reader of the Houston Chronicle recalls that during the height of the ruckus brought about to save the Old Sixth Ward in Houston, a movement which she opposed and served as opposition leader (See video below), Maria Isabel had the Che flag hanging from her balcony at one point. (An editor of the LoneStar Times drove past recently and it has been replaced with an American flag.) It seems she is no stranger to controversy and was interviewed on tv when she protested the historical preservation of the Old Sixth Ward in Houston. Why is this relevant- just listen to her part:
The money quote is when she says: "It’s wrong to try to implement restrictions in my private property. I own this piece of land. This is America. I should be able to do anything I want with it." Oh the hypocrisy! Wow, what a concept! What would Che have to say about that? Oh, wait, when she left Cuba she didnt HAVE any private property because fidel and company had stolen it! And had she dared to speak out about it, she'd have been worm food. And this is the man she chooses to idolize- the man who helped bring about the reason she and her family fled their country? What a piece of work.
But actually, I'm more concerned with Mr. O bama's reaction to this. His campaign handlers claim that Maria Isabel Norman, the Houston Precinct Captain, is just a volunteer and his people had the flag removed and that it in no way reflects his policy towards Cuba. But he stopped short of denouncing Guevara, a murdering thug reponsible for the torture and execution of thousands of Cubans, being honored by one of his campaign volunteers with his name right there. O bama may not know that guevara was a black-hating racist and in addition to a chance to denounce what he did, O bama could also have used it as a springboard to denounce racism. But he didn't.
Granted, he can't stay on top of every person who works or volunteers for his campaign, but then he was given the chance and he fumbled. Given these pictures that I found in Maria Isabel Norman's personal photo album on the web, I don't know just how unknown she is to the O bamas.
Would he have dismissed it so easily had she been brandishing a giant swastika flag? Does O bama realize, perhaps, that scores of che lovers could be amongst his voter base? I'm betting yes, so don't count on a public statement decrying the evils of the "hero of the revolution" from the O bama camp any time soon. I think he can kiss the majority of whatever possible Cuban votes he may have had goodbye, too.

This Maria Isabel Norman looks like a worn-out veteran of the Antonio Maceo Brigade. I bet her maiden name appears in that organization's list.

Claudia - check out my posts at Lonestartimes.com
Maria Isabel attended "Camp Obama" in September. In her latest Fox26 video denial she refers the reporter to her publicist and "the Camp people", meaning the Obama campaign.
I'm sure the Obama people wish they had never heard of her.

"Sandra," also known as as Mr. Bolton and Baffy with the same IP address located in EUROPE (But I thought you were Cuban-AMERICAN?) now you are posing as a woman. If you are a black person, you should be highly outraged that che guevara said "The Negro is indolent and spends his money on frivolity and drink, whereas the european is intelligent and forward looking." Also, I realize that it is YOU that are unlearned but you do know that che failed miserably in the Congo, right? Your hero didn't accomplish much for his boss- which is why castro sent him to be killed. But if you are a Cuban-American, you already know that.
Now, given that you are European, this may be a conflict for you, but you should know that by European he meant white people, not black.
You sure are spending a lot of time on my site. Why don't you do something more constructive?
